Join us for our next public meeting at the ParkSide Centre on Durham Street in Sudbury.
Doors open at 1:15 p.m. for socializing and light refreshments. The general meeting begins at 2:00 p.m.

PumpkinFest
Celebrate autumn with Pumpkin Fest! Members are invited to enter seasonal designs, festive features, photography and youth classes.
Bringing an Entry?
Bring your entries to the ParkSide Centre on Sunday, October 25, between 11:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m.
Judging begins after entries are received.
Classes and Entry Requirements
Pumpkin Fest Schedule
- “Autumn Welcome”
Seasonal door decoration: swag, wreath, or other.
- “Hit the Road Jack”
Carved pumpkin (Jack-o’-lantern).
- “Dressed for Dinner”
Decorated pumpkin.
- “Thanksgiving”
Functional exhibition table with a place setting (no knives) and floral design; maximum width 30 inches.
- “If I Only Had a Brain”
Handmade scarecrow:
- smaller than 36 inches (90 cm)
- over 36 inches
Exhibition Table Note
Creative designs using tableware, plant material and suitable accessories, artistically arranged. Maximum width is 30 inches. A floral design must be included.

Festive Features
- Pumpkin tarts — three on a plate. Will be tasted by the judge.
- Textile art — weaving, macramé, rug hooking, etc.
- Painting — any medium; cannot have been previously entered.
- A farmers’ market/stand
- Golden grains — corn stalks or wheat
- An abandoned house or barn
- Seed pods
- Rusty garden tools that served us well
- A scarecrow
- Toadstools, mushrooms, or other fungi
- Apples in any setting
Two age groups:
Age 11 & younger
Age 12 & older
- “Hello Jack” — a decorated pumpkin
- A photograph of pumpkin(s)
