John Street Park
The Sudbury Horticultural Society plants and maintains a beautiful park at the corner of Paris Street and John Streets. Volunteers are invited to join us in continuing this community project.
Ugliest Schoolyard Contest
Our members provide advice and work with students, teachers, and parents to naturalize and beautify the grounds of the winner of the ‘ugliest schoolyard’ contest each autumn.
Open Garden Weekend
Self-guided tours of noteworthy local gardens are coordinated by the Society every summer.
Gardeners Day at the Sudbury Market
The Sudbury Horticultural Society has partnered with the Sudbury Market to host a day for gardeners each spring.
Spring Plant Sale
The Sudbury Horticultural Society holds a yearly Spring Plant Sale in conjunction with the Sudbury Market selling perennials.
Sudbury Horticultural Shows
The Sudbury Horticultural Society hosts several Horticultural Shows annually. Bring your creativity for floral design, vegetables and fruit, photography, wreaths, pumpkin carving, and more!
Noteworthy Gardens
Inviting Sudbury Horticultural Society Members to nominate gardens and patios that are beautiful, creative and interesting for a certificate of recognition.
Library Donations
Each year our society purchases several magazine subscriptions and newly published gardening books and donates them to the Greater Sudbury Public Library. The society also maintains a free Little Library in John Street Park.
Floral Design Workshop
Learn to create elegant flower and evergreen arrangements at an upcoming workshop hosted by Society volunteers and floral design enthusiasts.
